OVERVIEW

Lost Cave is my personal utopia built in VR, where my past life's lost things and memories reside. Interacting with them brings back cherished recollections from the past.

This project is a preliminary experiment for my Virtual Nostalgia project, featuring a similar interaction where touching an object transports you to the corresponding space in my memory. However, this particular project holds a more personal touch, exclusively belonging to my own realm of cherished memories.

CONCEPT AND SCHEMATICS

The "moving" cave is a sanctuary that holds all the meaningful things from different chapters of my life. Some of them evoke vivid memories of the intense emotions I experienced when they were lost, but with time, I adapted to life without them. Gradually, many of these possessions lost their significance, and I didn't even notice their absence.

Thinking about these cherished items now, I feel a sense of being adrift. Although their loss may not impact my present life greatly, they were companions throughout every stage of my journey, shaping the person I am today.

For me, this cave is a utopia, where I find solace, relaxation, and safety, surrounded by the familiarity of my most beloved belongings. It's an escape, a place where I can connect with my past and find comfort in the memories that have molded me.

RESEARCH AND PROCESS

In the teddy bear memory, I create illustrations with StableDifussion, based on my childhood diary, and construct the user interface (UI) using Figma.

Partial Diaries In Teddy Bear Memory

I long for a corner that could conjure lost items in my cave. When a cherished possession goes missing, I'd simply describe it in this mystical corner of my cave, and behold, the object would magically materialize, finding its place among all treasures I got in cave.

The next step is to integrate the AI model that generates 3D models into Unity for automated in-game generation.
